📄 Progress Report Card Distribution

Your child’s Progress Report will be sent home on Tuesday, November 18, 2025. Please take a moment to review it together and celebrate your child’s learning and growth! 🌟

Cell Phone and Personal Device Use at St. Kateri Tekakwitha CES

In line with the Ministry of Education’s updated Provincial Code of Conduct (PPM 128), cell phones and personal mobile devices are not to be used during instructional time to help reduce distractions and support learning.

At St. Kateri Tekakwitha CES, students who bring phones to school must keep them off and out of sight throughout the school day.

If a device is seen or used during class:

  1. The student will be asked to put it away.

  2. A second instance will result in the device being sent to the office for the day.

  3. Continued incidents will require parent/guardian pickup and progressive discipline.

Devices may only be used during instructional time when:

  • Directed by an educator for educational purposes,

  • Required for health or medical reasons (parent note sufficient), or

  • Needed to support special education accommodations.

If you need to contact your child during the day, please call the main office at 905-471-4477.

We ask that parents/guardians once again review and discuss these expectations with their children to ensure a consistent approach between home and school. We as a school have shared this information this past week once again through classroom visits.
