This Week at SKTA!!

Dear St. Kateri Tekakwitha Parents and Guardians,

Greetings! As we enter this important week, we encourage all of our families to take a moment to read the following news items. This is a significant time for our school community, especially as we journey through Holy Week, one of the most sacred times in our Catholic faith.

Holy Week offers us a chance to reflect on the Passion, Death, and Resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ. We invite you to join us in prayer and reflection as we celebrate these powerful moments together, both as a school and as a community of faith.

Thank you for your continued support, and we wish you a blessed Holy Week.

Federal Election Notice

St. Kateri Tekakwitha will serve as a polling station for the upcoming federal election. Families are encouraged to check their mail for specific details about their voting location.

To ensure a smooth process, both election officials and voters will only be using the front entrance and the gymnasium. Our students will not have direct interactions with the public on election day.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we prepare for this event. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the school office for further details.

Please take a couple of moments to review the following letter for further details.

National Day of Mourning – April 28, 2025

April 28 is the National Day of Mourning, a time to honour workers across Canada who have lost their lives, been injured or disabled on the job, or suffer from occupational illnesses.

To mark this important day, flags at our school and across the board, including the Catholic Education Centre will be flown at half-mast from sunrise to sunset on Monday, April 28, 2025.

Thank you for joining us in remembering and honouring these individuals in York Region, Ontario, and across Canada.
