📅 This Week at SKTA! (April 20–24) 

Dear St. Kateri Families,

As we look ahead to several upcoming events in support of our students, we kindly ask that you take a few moments each week to review school communications so you don’t miss important updates and opportunities to get involved.

Our Catholic School Council is currently seeking parent volunteers for our annual Play Day, which will take place on June 23 here at the school. This is always a wonderful event for our students, and your support helps make it a success.

If you are interested in volunteering, please email marc.caruso@ycdsb.ca. We will follow up with next steps.

🛡️ Safety Week (April 27–May 1)

Student safety remains a top priority at SKTA. During this week, we will be practicing important safety drills (fire, lockdown, and shelter-in-place). Staff will review procedures with students ahead of time to ensure everyone feels prepared and confident.

🏫 Planning Ahead: Class Placement Requests

As we begin preparing for the 2026–2027 school year, families are invited to review the information shared regarding class placement requests. Thank you for your thoughtful input as we plan for student success.

Food at St. Kateri -Lunch/Snacks

As we work to ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all students, we kindly remind you to refrain from sending snacks or meals that contain peanuts, tree nuts, etc.., as these can pose serious health risks to students with allergies. If you have entrusted your child to pack their own lunches, we would kindly ask you to review the choices they have made prior to arriving at school.

We appreciate your continued support and cooperation in keeping all of our students safe and healthy.

If you have any questions or need ideas for allergy-safe snacks, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
