Dear St. Kateri Families,

We hope you had a wonderful and restful weekend! ☀️ As the school year winds down, summer is just around the corner — only a couple of weeks to go! But first, we have an exciting week ahead filled with fun and memorable experiences for our students.

📅 Important Dates This Week

✅ Monday, June 9 – PA Day (No school for students)
📍 A great chance to recharge before a busy week ahead!

🐐 Tuesday, June 10 – Junior Classes Visit Willowgrove Farm
🎒 A day of hands-on learning, animals, nature, and outdoor fun!

🏕️ Wednesday, June 11 to Friday, June 13 – Grade 8 Year-End Trip to Camp Onondaga
🚌 Our grads are heading to Minden for an unforgettable 3-day adventure!

Kiss and Ride Update

We would like to thank our school community for continuing to follow our updated Kiss and Ride routine. Reminder below on the current practice here at the school:

Parking and Escorting Your Child:

If you wish to escort your child(ren) to the school gates (located on the west side of the Kindergarten Yard), please park your car in the designated parking area at the front of the school.

Using the Kiss and Ride:

Please proceed past the pylons in the Kiss and Ride lot and pull over to the curb to drop off your child(ren).
Do not double park in the Kiss and Ride, as this poses a safety risk to others.

Handicap Parking Spots:

We kindly remind families to reserve the use of handicap parking spaces for those who require them.

Traffic Note Update

In the morning, all traffic will exit through the Kiss and Ride.
The stop sign exit to the east of the lot will be entrance-only during morning hours.

Reminder: Student Attire Guidelines

At St. Kateri, all student clothing should reflect our Catholic teachings and values, with a focus on modesty.

The following items are not permitted:

Halter tops, tank tops, spaghetti strap tops (straps narrower than three fingers), or tube tops
Half t-shirts, tops with cut-outs, or tops made of mesh/netting material
Short shorts or skirts
Clothing with low necklines (front or back)
Attire featuring language or images that indicate gang affiliation, depict violence, profanity, or discrimination, or demean any individual or group
Accessories that do not align with the spirit of the Dress Code, as determined by the school

Additionally, tops, pants, shorts, and skirts must fully cover the midriff.

On behalf of our entire school community, I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Catholic School Council for their unwavering dedication to the students, staff, and families of St. Kateri Tekakwitha CES.

Thanks to your time, energy, and commitment, our school has enjoyed a wide range of community-building events such as the Welcome Back to School BBQ, Hot Lunches, Shrove Tuesday celebrations, Ribbons and Bows, and our upcoming Playday. These initiatives have not only lifted school spirit but have also strengthened the bonds within our school community.

We are truly grateful for the countless hours of planning and care you’ve invested throughout the year. To those members who are stepping down from the council this year—your presence, talents, and dedication will be deeply missed.
