As we enter Holy Week, the most sacred time in our Catholic liturgical calendar, we pause to reflect on the depth of Christ’s love and the profound meaning of His passion, death and resurrection.
This week marks the culmination of our Lenten journey, a time of prayer, fasting and almsgiving, through which we have drawn closer to God and prepared our hearts for Easter.
Each day of Holy Week invites us into the story of salvation. From Palm Sunday, where we remember Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem, to Holy Thursday’s celebration of the Last Supper and the institution of the Eucharist, we are called to walk with Christ in humility and devotion.
On Good Friday, we witness the ultimate act of love, the sacrifice of the Cross, reminding us of the hope we find in Christ’s suffering and the promise of new life.
In our Catholic schools, Holy Week is a time of reverence, reflection and faith in action. Through liturgies, classroom prayer and acts of kindness, students and staff come together to live out the Gospel message and prepare spiritually for the joy of Easter Sunday.
We encourage our families, students and staff to take time this week to reflect, to pray and to walk with Christ in gratitude for the gift of His saving love. May this Holy Week renew our hearts and strengthen our call to be a people of compassion and peace.
Wishing you a blessed Holy Week and a joyful Easter.
