This Week at SKTA!

    Student Council News:

This Friday our student council will be hosting their second FUN Friday! As part of this initiative, they are organizing a Lenten Food Drive to support the Markham Food Bank.

The council is seeking donations of standard-sized cereal boxes (approximately 500g). After the event, all full cereal boxes will be donated to the Markham Food Bank to help families in need.

To ensure they are prepared, we ask that all donations be brought to the school by March 25th. We are trying to collect over 1000 boxes of cereal for this event.

Thank you for your support once again as we work together to feed families in our community while fostering school spirit and fun!

Invitation to YCDSB Board-Wide Lenten Celebration of the Eucharist

As we journey through the Lenten season, we are blessed with the opportunity to gather as a family of faith for our annual YCDSB Board-Wide Lenten Celebration of the Eucharist. This special Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Boissonneau on Wednesday, March 27th, at 1:15 PM.

We invite the St. Kateri Tekakwitha parents/guardians/staff and students to join with broader members of the YCDSB community in prayer and reflection. The Mass will be primarily attended virtually, and you can participate from any location by clicking on this [LINK].

We encourage our entire school community to take part in this meaningful gathering as we prepare our hearts for Easter.

Recess Update

Due to muddy conditions, the field will remain closed this week. Students are not permitted to play soccer or football on the blacktop during this time.

We kindly ask that students leave soccer balls and footballs at home for the week.

We’re hopeful that conditions will improve soon and the field can reopen. Thank you for your understanding!
