This Week at SKTA (Nov. 17)

Prayer for Justice

God, You have given all peoples a common origin. It is Your will that they be gathered together as one family in Yourself.

Fill the hearts of humankind with the fire of Your love and with the desire to ensure justice for all.

By sharing the good things You give us, may we secure an equality for all our brothers and sisters throughout the world.

May there be an end to division, strife and war.

May there be a dawning of a truly human society built on love and peace. We ask this in Your name.

Amen.

Red Wednesday- November 20, 2024

Wednesday, November 20, 2024, is Red Wednesday, a day of prayer, action and awareness in which we are invited to remember all those Christians around the world who have suffered and have been persecuted for their faith.

In recognition of this special day, we aim to build awareness in our schools about Red Wednesday and the challenges faced by persecuted Christians around the world.

On November 20th, many churches and buildings will be illuminated in red and Archbishop Francis Leo will celebrate a special Mass at St Michael’s Cathedral Basilica in Toronto. We pray for all those who continue to suffer for their faith that they may be protected, find courage, stay hopeful and find comfort in God’s love.
