It’s hard to believe but we are nearing the end of another school year, and preparing for the beginning of the next school year. In order to prepare for the 2022-23 school year, we would like to share the following information with our school community. Class Organization Parent Requests 2023/24
First Communion at Blessed Frederic Ozanam Parish
This upcoming weekend (Saturday May 13 @ 11 am St. Mark’s Church) our St. Kateri Tekakwitha CES students will receive their First Communion from Blessed Frederic Ozanam Parish. By receiving the Sacrament of First Communion our students’ faith journey continues where they afforded the opportunity to share their beliefs and further cement their Catholic faith in Christ, the Eucharist, and the Church. Thank you to Father Rick and Blessed Frederic Ozanam Parish for your guidance and support of our students as they prepare for the Sacrament of First Communion.
Welcome to Kindergarten – May 30, 2023
On Monday, May 30th, we will welcome families and their children into our school for our Kindergarten Orientation Program. Further information will be shared directly with families that have already registered with the school. Families who haven’t yet registered their child at St. Kateri Tekakwitha CES for the Kindergarten program for September 2023, may visit the school or Board’s website at www.ycdsb.ca/admissions to start the application process.

Jump Rope for Heart
For families who would like to still donate to our Jump Rope for Heart campaign, please consult the attached letter for details on how to do so.Jump Rope For Heart Parent Letter
School Gardens at St. Kateri
We have been working on improving the garden at the front of the school! As we continue to do so, we are inviting St. Kateri families to donate perennial plants and/or soil to help us make it even more beautiful. If you are gardening and are able to split any of your plants, please consider doing so!
We would especially appreciate hearty plants, and those with some colourful blooms (e.g. Hostas, Black-Eyed Susans, Irises, Daylilies). We would also appreciate bags of soil to add to the garden.
Any plants or soil can be left just outside the front entrance of the school any day next week, May 15 to 19.
If you are also interested in helping out with planting, please let us know by emailing marc.caruso@ycdsb.ca
